The first weekend of the month is always a special one in Tuscaloosa. This week is extra special because in addition to Art Night at Kentuck and First Friday Art Walk, we have another installment of Live at the Plaza queued up for you! Check out our events below and have a great weekend in Tuscaloosa!
Art Night at Kentuck 🎨
Kentuck Art Center hosts a monthly celebration of arts and artists. Art night is held every first Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. It is a free event welcoming all ages. It gives the community an opportunity to see art in progress along with finished products. There will be live music, free hors d’oeuvres, a food truck, and fun artists and patrons to interact with. Head out to 503 Main Ave. Northport, Alabama to experience creativity at its finest.
The First Friday Art Walk 🖼
Art Walk happens every first Friday of every month in downtown Tuscaloosa. Local galleries, businesses, and restaurants are open in the evening for the community to get the full downtown experience. This Friday is even more special because the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center will have a special reception celebrating Tony Brock as his art goes on display for the next month. Visit http://www.firstfridaytuscaloosa.com for a printable art walk map, parking suggestions, participants and more!
Live at the Plaza 🎶
Tuscaloosa continues its Live at the Plaza summer concert series. Every Friday throughout the month of July, Government Plaza features local bands from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The family-friendly environment also encourages pets, so make sure to bring your furry friend to the free and public event! This week Tuscaloosa presents The Kemistry Project, a soul-infused bad that will rock all of your cares from the week away.
