ArBOOretum 🕷👻

For a fun, educational event, the UA Arboretum will host the second annual ArBOOretum from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday. This year’s theme is the biological diversity of Alabama. Trick or treaters will be able to learn about spiders, walk with experts, and collect candy on the spooky trails. Extraction of chemicals from native plants will be featured at the pavilion laboratory. There will be many other activities including nocturnal animal sounds, microscopes with water samples and leaf collections/imprints. Visitors are asked to park at the running park/former golf course parking lot where they can walk the trail or ride a shuttle van to the Arboretum pavilion. This event is free and sponsored by the University of Alabama Department of Biological Sciences.
