Art Night at Kentuck 🎨

Just over the river from downtown Tuscaloosa rests Kentuck Art Center, the centerpiece of the local art community. One the first Thursday of each month they host a quaint little shindig to help you relax and explore their unique scene. They have live music, light hors-d’oeuvres and a chance to interact with a local artist and even purchase some of their beautiful art. The First Friday Art Walk đź–Ľ

The first Friday of the month is a special evening in downtown Tuscaloosa. Local art galleries open their doors late and invite the public in for a night of fun and exploration. With downtown being an entertainment district on Friday evenings, you can now grab your favorite drink from a local bar or restaurant and dig the local art scene. Screen on the Green 🎥

Screen on the Green is a free summer movie series taking place in Midtown Village every Saturday night until August 11th. There are two more chances for you to gather up the gang and enjoy a beautiful summer’s night out on the town. This weekend, the movie featured is Despicable Me 3. This event is one the kids will love, so bring your comfiest blankets and tastiest snacks and head out to Midtown Village for a free movie night.


Farmer’s Market at the Tuscaloosa River Market 🍉

If you haven’t been to the Tuscaloosa Farmers Market yet, you should consider going this Saturday for a day filled with community, unbeatable prices, and one of a kind merchandise. From fresh produce to unique art, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The Farmers Market is held at the River Market every Saturday from 7 am to noon. Wake up, grab a cup of coffee and head out for a beautiful day at the Tuscaloosa Farmers Market.

Black Warrior Brewery Tours 🍻

Last but certainly not least, Black Warrior Brewing Company is hosting its brewery tours. Every Saturday, Black Warrior Brewing Co allows customers to get behind the scenes of their brewery & taproom. Each tour will last roughly 45 minutes and include a souvenir pint glass & beer. There is a tour at 1:00 and 3:00 and the cost is $10 per person. Whether it is a day out on the town with friends or a date with your special someone, this is a wonderful way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon.
