The Jack Warner at NorthRiver

THE JACK WARNER is located in the peaceful and tranquil rolling hills of NorthRiver, next to beautiful Lake Tuscaloosa Although only 12 miles North of downtown Tuscaloosa and the University of Alabama, it imbues visitors with the feel of Europe or the Orient.

The area called “NorthRiver” is a semi-private residential area surrounding the prestigious North River Yacht Club. The area was conceived and developed by Jack Warner, CEO of Gulf States Paper Corporation, in the early 1970’s following the development of beautiful Lake Tusscaloosa. He began building the Club on the banks of the Lake, first with the Captain’s Cabin and Marina, then adding the palacial NorthRiver Yacht Club, Olympic sized swimming pool, tennis courts and the Jack Warner (formerly the Warner Lodge). Lastly he added a 5-faced clock tower, the NorthRiver Golf Club, more tennis courts, and 18 hole championship golf course designed by Gary Player. Today, NorthRiver boasts over 500 spacious lots and elegant homes adorning the gently rolling hills and beautifully landscaped nature preserve.
