Anchor Tuscaloosa, powered by Fuel Alabama, is a hands-on program aimed at showcasing life in Tuscaloosa to local college students. A pilot partnership between several organizations, Anchor Tuscaloosa will curate social experiences and professional connections for up to 40 college students. Applications open on October 21, 2024, and close on December 1, 2024. Students at Shelton State Community College, Stillman College, and The University of Alabama may apply, but must complete 30 credit hours by December 31, 2024. It is important for applicants to understand that the five program sessions will take place over a full day, which will require students to possibly miss class. We will work with students to help with proper notes that verify your participation in the program. We ask that students interested in this program commit to attending at least four of the five sessions.
