City of Tuscaloosa cancels all city-sanctioned public events

Tuscaloosa, AL – In order to ensure safety for the Tuscaloosa community, Mayor Walt Maddox announced the cancellation of all city events for the remainder of March. This includes all public events hosted, permitted or on property owned by the city.

This does not include meetings crucial to the city’s operations and will be open to the public in accordance to state law.

At the end of March, the city will reevaluate for events scheduled in April.

Event hosts will be able to request a refund of their deposits and rental fees or may choose to reschedule for a later date. City officials will be contacting them directly.
