Thursday kicks off with Art Night at Kentuck on June 6, and First Friday is featured in Tuscaloosa art galleries on June 7. Jake Austell and Matt Jones will get the first Live At The Plaza concert series started off right, playing from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Government Plaza. Art Night at Kentuck 🖼
Art Night occurs the first Thursday of each month at Kentuck Art Center in Historic Downtown Northport, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Activities will include Kevin Irwin’s exhibition, open artists’ studios, live music, extended Gallery Shop hours, chess matches, and more.
First Friday Art Walk 🎨🚶♀️
First Friday takes place every month in Downtown Tuscaloosa. Local galleries, businesses, and restaurants extend their hours to allow the community to experience what downtown has to offer. This is a great way to start the weekend, by exploring new businesses with friends. Participating art galleries include The University of Alabama Galleries at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center, The Paul R. Live at the Plaza 🎶
The very popular fifth annual Live At The Plaza summer concert series is back to rock you in 2019! This Friday, Jake Austell (6:00-7:15 p.m.) and Matt Jones (7:30-9:00 p.m.) will be featured in the family-friendly atmosphere of the Government Plaza, adjacent to the downtown Intermodal Facility parking deck behind City Hall. This series will take place every Friday night in June and July from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Admission to the event is free and open to the public. Bring your quilts, lawn chairs, kids, and dogs.
Moosie’s Birthday Party at CHOM! 🐮
