    The weekend is almost here, and there are a lot of exciting events happening around the city. Friday kicks off the weekend with the Live at the Plaza at Government Plaza downtown and the Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular at The Bama Theatre. Saturday features Screen on the Green at Midtown Village, and a concert benefitting The Actor’s Charitable theatre.

    Live at the Plaza 🎶🎤

    Live at the Plaza only has a couple more weeks so you don’t want to miss out on this FREE event! This Friday, Ryan Waters (6:00 p.m.-7:15 p.m.) and The Locals (7:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.) will be featured in the family-friendly atmosphere of Government Plaza, adjacent to the downtown Intermodal Facility parking deck behind City Hall. Come and enjoy great music from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, kids, and dogs. Click herefor more information. 

    Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular🌈🎶

    If you’re a Pink Floyd fan this is the event for you. Paramount’s Laser Spectacular is the smash hit multi-media laser and light show, featuring the original master recording of Pink Floyd. The laser spectacular will take place at The Bama Theatre on Friday the 19th from 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. This will be an event that you do not want to miss out on.     Screen on the Green 🌳🍿

    Looking for something to do with the kids on Saturday night? This is the event for you. Come to Screen on the Green at Midtown Village. The the third installment of the Hotel Transylvania series starts at 8:00 p.m. Get there early and receive special promotions from surrounding restaurants. In this exciting film the characters embark on a vacation on a luxury monster cruise ship. So, grab your blankets and come have a night the kids will for sure enjoy.     The Actor’s Charitable Theatre Concert Series 🎭

    Join local musicians Joiee Steele and Reagan Branch for a concert benefiting the Actor’s Charitable Theatre (ACT). ACT is a community theatre that depends upon partnerships and events like this one. Admission will help the ACT meet operating costs to support its mission.     Comic Book Chaos at CHOM💥

    Do your kids love comic books? If the answer is yes, they will love Comic Book Chaos at the Children’s Hands on Museum. The event is Saturday, July 20, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Come and create your own comic strip, decorate a superhero sun-catcher, and participate in superhero science experiments!
