So, you’re in Tuscaloosa for the weekend — maybe you’ve scored tickets to see the Crimson Tide in action at Bryant-Denny, or maybe you’re just here to soak up the game day atmosphere. Either way, we know football fans don’t stop at just one game. Whether you’re tracking your fantasy team, following SEC rivals, or keeping tabs on your alma mater, you’re going to need a good spot to catch all the action.
Luckily, Tuscaloosa County is packed with places where the TVs are on, the food is hot, and the beer is cold. Here are a few of our favorite local hangouts to watch football all weekend long — whether you’re rooting for Alabama or just trying to survive Saturday with your eyes on the scoreboard.
The Sanctuary is one of Tuscaloosa’s go-to spots for game day with a chill, unique vibe! Their outdoor patio boasts a huge screen that makes you feel like you’re right in the action! The Sanctuary is stylish but relaxed, with a great mix of craft cocktails, brews, and scrumptious food that goes well with football. The Venue offers a more modern, open space with plenty of big screens and an upbeat, family-friendly atmosphere that makes it ideal for groups. If you’re looking to for a spot where your kids can play, you have multiple restaurant options, and you even catch some live music…The Venue is your venue!
Baumhower’s Victory Grille is built for game day. With wall-to-wall TVs, giant platters of wings, and a full menu that covers everything from burgers to Gulf seafood, this place lives and breathes football. It’s family-friendly, full of Tide pride, and an awesome place to catch every game in one place — even if the crowd is a little partial to the team in crimson.
Druid City Brewing Co. brings a quirky, creative vibe to your football weekend. Known for its local beer, artsy decor, and loyal following, this spot is more relaxed than your typical sports bar — but still very much in the game day spirit. Expect good beer, fun people, and a screen or two playing whatever big game is on that day. Bonus: there’s amazing food at the house restaurant Ell’s Kitchen and often live music after dark.

Located on The Strip within sight of Bryant-Dennt Stadium, this bucket list bar is bound to impress everyone with its signature drink, The Yellowhammer! Be sure you pose for a pic by theie very Instagrammable 5 foot Yellowhammer cup!
The Houndstooth is just a short walk down The Strip. A new elephant sculpture named “AL-X” has been installed at the entrance and if you’ve got one ounce of Bama in you, it’s a must-see.
Weighing around 800 pounds and spanning 13 feet in width, AL-X features LED eyes and a fog-emitting trunk. The sculpture took approximately four months to complete.
Remember, these are just a handful of the many spectacular spots around town to catch your favorite team on a screen! Roll Tide — and may the rest of your teams play nice (unless they’re lining up across from Alabama).
