Tulips & Juleps 👒 🐎
Join the Junior League of Tuscaloosa for the inaugural Tulips & Juleps Kentucky Derby live watch party. Wear your Derby Best for a fun-filled afternoon of races, food, drinks, and live music this Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Historic Drish House. Enjoy dozens of Derby Hats decorated by local businesses and groups on display, and pull for your favorite in the final stretch! Tickets are $30 each, or $50 for a pair. First Friday Art Walk 🖼🛍
First Friday takes place every month in Downtown Tuscaloosa. Local galleries, businesses, and restaurants extend their hours to allow the community to experience what downtown has to offer. This is a great way to start the weekend, by exploring new businesses with friends. Participating art galleries include the University of Alabama Galleries at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center, The Paul R. Art Night at Kentuck 🖼
The first Thursday of each month is Art Night at the Kentuck Art Center, featuring exhibition openings and artist receptions. Both of the main galleries will be open to the public, and the Gallery Shop will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday for this event. Resident artists will open their studios, the Red Dog potters will offer live demonstrations. In addition, you may enjoy a variety of other activities including local pop-up shops, live music, and free pizza – fresh from their cob oven. As always, the event is FREE to the public.
The Millennium Tour at Tuscaloosa Amphitheater 🎶
The American boy band B2K is coming to the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater this Saturday. They will be joined by Mario, The Ying Yang Twins, and more. May the 4th be with you! This Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Children’s Hands on Museum in Downtown Tuscaloosa will present a Star Wars themed event.
