Valentine’s Day Gala ♥️ 🌹
If you are trying to find somewhere to spend Valentine’s Day, Cypress Inn may have the answer you’re looking for. The Cypress Inn Pavilion is having a Valentine’s Day Gala. For $55 a person, you can enjoy a prime rib buffet, cash bar, and live music! This event requires a prepaid reservation, which can be found on their website here.
Alabama Gymnastics vs. Florida 🐘💕
Get ready for the incredible atmosphere in Coleman Coliseum Friday night. Alabama Gymnastics will be hosting the Florida Gators for the “Power of Pink” meet. It starts at 7:30 p.m. Be sure to get there early so you don’t miss out on any of the fun! UA students have free admission with their ACT card, and general admission tickets can be found here.
Crowns by Theatre Tuscaloosa 👒
This weekend, Theatre Tuscaloosa will be performing a gospel musical celebrating hats. In this play, the tradition of hats is traced back to African rituals and slavery and forward to the New Testament and current fashion. When a Chicago teen goes to live with her grandmother in South Carolina after the death of her brother, she discovers the beauty, ceremony, and symbolism of her triumphant, hat-wearing Southern sisters. Rumble on the River 🏅
Love boxing? Well on Friday night, the Tuscaloosa RiverMarket has an event you can’t miss! The 2019 Alabama Boxing Hall of Fame show will begin at 6:00 p.m. The event will honor some real “heavyweights” including Earnie Shavers (1970s Heavyweight Title challenger), Bob Hutto (Judge), Hedgemon Lewis (Amateur), George Godfrey (Heavyweight Champion,1920s and 1930s), and Woody Dinning (manager).
In addition, 6+ fights are on the card, including Deon “Equalizer” Nicholson who will be defending the WBC USA Cruiserweight title against Charles “Assassin” Dale. Undefeated Cuban Olympian Robert Alfonso, and Tuscaloosa boxers Thomas Knox and Ke’Eric Hinton will continue building on their undefeated records as well!
February Funk Fest at Green Bar 🎶
As always, Green Bar has some live music to enjoy! This Friday will be the first annual February Funk Fest! Music will feature Midnight Revel, The Joey Freshwater Trio, Manic Vision, and Hushpuppy Highway. Artwork from the very talented Annie Sparrow will also be featured. This will be a jam packed night you will not want to miss! Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and music starts at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are required for this event and can be purchased here!

Bicentennial Bash 🎉
All-star Alabama musicians Jason Isbell and Moon Taxi will headline a FREE family friendly concert, Saturday, March 30 at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater. The concert is part of the City of Tuscaloosa Bicentennial Bash. This come-and-go event will also be a day-long celebration of Tuscaloosa’s 200th birthday, and will include a lively Kids Zone with rides, inflatables and hands-on activities for children of all ages.
