Happy Fourth of July! Tuscaloosa has a lot of fun things planned to make sure your 4th is a happy one. Celebration on The River is the perfect way to end your Fourth with a bang! Enjoy the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra plus live bands and fireworks. “Live At The Plaza” is back on this Friday with The Divebombers playing from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Midtown Village is kicking off their Screen On The Green movie series on Saturday, July 6, with “Mary Poppins Returns” at 8:00 p.m. If you are looking for a fun activity for your kids during the day Saturday look no further than CHOM Rocks, where the rocks that are painted will be scattered around Tuscaloosa to brighten people’s days.
Celebration On The River 🎇🇺🇸
The Tuscaloosa Amphitheater is THE place to be on the 4th of July. Starting at 6:00 p.m., by The Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra will perform, as well as, The Divebombers, and DJ Chuckie. The PARA kids zone features inflatables, face painting, and laser tag. The fireworks extravaganza begins at 9:00 p.m. This is a free family-friendly event for all ages. Live At The Plaza 🌳🎤
The very popular fifth annual “Live At The Plaza” FREE summer concert series is back to rock you in 2019. This Friday, The Divebombers will be featured in the family-friendly atmosphere of the Government Plaza, adjacent to the downtown Intermodal Facility parking deck behind City Hall. Enjoy great music every Friday night in June and July from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission to the event is free and open to the public. Bring your quilts, lawn chairs, kids, and dogs. Screen On The Green 🎥🍿
Midtown Village’s free summer movie series “Screen on the Green” is back every Saturday at 8:00 p.m., July 6-August 3, on The Green at Midtown Village. This weekend’s movie is “Mary Poppins Returns.” Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and family for movies under the stars. Come early and enjoy special dining offers all day on movie Saturdays at all participating restaurants and eateries. And don’t miss The Baked Bear’s yummy and soothing ice cream sandwich cart on The Green. This is a free community event, and movies are shown weather permitting. Head on over to the Children’s Hands on Museum of Tuscaloosa on Saturday, July 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for CHOM Rocks! Your little ones will be able to paint rocks to then deposit at various locations around Tuscaloosa, which is sure to brighten someone’s day.
