Anna Lindwasser is an MFA candidate at the University of Alabama. Before moving to Tuscaloosa, she lived in New York City, where she worked as a teacher. Alongside writing approximately a million articles about anime, Anna has published multiple short stories and is quickly establishing herself as a compelling new voice in young adult literature. Her next novel, The Soulmate Project, is forthcoming in Spring 2026. When she’s not writing or doing schoolwork, she can be found biking around town, exploring new coffee shops, or singing karaoke.
About the Book: This Trauma Is Sponsored
Rosalie Solis has grown up as the oldest daughter in an online influencer family, where her most private moments have been filmed, monetized, and shared with the world. With no real sense of privacy, Rosalie has learned to survive in front of the camera—until her parents begin pushing her five-year-old sister into the spotlight. As filming escalates and boundaries are crossed, Rosalie must decide whether to protect the “perfect” image her family has built or stand up for herself, her sister, her hidden relationship, and the trauma she’s endured on camera. Told in verse, This Trauma Is Sponsored is a powerful, timely exploration of identity, consent, and growing up under constant surveillance.
✨ The evening will include a reading, and time for audience questions.
