Join us for an inspiring evening of poetry, music, and conversation as acclaimed poet Hank Lazer presents his newest collection, Abundant Life: New & Selected Poems, accompanied by live music from Holland Hopson.

Abundant Life gathers decades of Lazer’s groundbreaking poetry. Works that span from his early minimalist lyrics to his innovative “shape writing,” meditative explorations, and deeply moving reflections on loss, renewal, and the sacred within the everyday. This is poetry that listens as much as it speaks, inviting readers to slow down, breathe, and rediscover what it means to be fully present.

Lazer’s writing, described by Rae Armantrout as “heady but deeply human,” weaves together philosophy, mindfulness, and the musicality of language. His poems are in dialogue with thinkers such as Levinas and Merleau-Ponty, as well as poets like Emily Dickinson and Robert Creeley.
