Lewis Bowling is a graduate of the United States Sports University in Daphne, Alabama, and taught at Duke and North Carolina Central University. He is author of Wallace Wade: Championship Years at Alabama and Duke and 12 other books, many of which are under Arcadia Publishing’s The History Press. He currently writes a history column for the Ledger News and Go Duke the Magazine, and formerly for Bama Magazine.
