Margarita lovers in Tuscaloosa are invited to sip, sample, and vote at the Tuscaloosa Margarita Festival, happening April 11 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Venue. Hosted by the International Margarita Organization, the event brings together local bars and restaurants for a friendly competition to determine who makes the best margarita in Tuscaloosa.
Each ticket includes ten 3.5-ounce margarita samples, served over ice by participating Tuscaloosa bars and restaurants. Attendees will taste a variety of flavors — from classic to bold and creative — and vote for their favorite margarita of the day. The winning establishment will receive $1,000 and citywide bragging rights.
In addition to the margarita tasting contest, the festival will feature live music or a DJ, food vendors, a beer garden, and a chance to win a trip to Mexico. A portion of proceeds will benefit children’s charities, supporting a great cause while enjoying the event.
