Description

The Hot Hundred Ride is an annual cycling event hosted by the Druid City Bicycle Club (DCBC) in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Celebrating over 24 years as “The Hottest Ride in the South,” it takes place on the last Saturday in July and has become one of the region’s signature endurance rides. This year it will be Saturday, July 25 at 7:00, more information can be found https://www.bikehothundred.com/.

The event offers **five route options—24, 45, 60, 82, and 100 miles—**designed to accommodate cyclists of all experience levels. Riders travel through scenic routes across Tuscaloosa County, with rolling terrain and well-supported backroads that highlight the beauty of West Alabama.

A major feature of the ride is its extensive support system, including multiple fully stocked aid stations positioned throughout all routes. These rest stops provide hydration, nutrition, and encouragement, making it possible for riders to safely complete even the longer distances in the summer heat.

Beyond the challenge, the Hot Hundred is also a charity-focused event, with proceeds supporting organizations such as United Cerebral Palsy of West Alabama, helping fund programs and services that benefit individuals with disabilities.

Known for its strong community atmosphere, excellent organization, and classic Southern summer conditions, the Hot Hundred has become a must-ride event for cyclists across the Southeast.
