Celebrate National Lakes Appreciation Month on the water at the Lake Nicol Paddle Fest! Hosted by Tuscaloosa Water in partnership with Tuscaloosa Paddleboards and Mountain High Outfitters, this free community event invites paddlers of all skill levels to experience one of Tuscaloosa’s most scenic outdoor destinations.
Choose your adventure with a timed 3-mile paddle race, a 3-mile fun float, or a 1-mile fun float through the calm waters and iconic cliffs of Lake Nicol. Whether you’re racing for the finish line or paddling at your own pace, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views and a morning of outdoor fun. Awards will be presented to top finishers in each division. Spectators can cheer participants on from the scenic Outer Cliff Trail.
The event is FREE and open to paddleboarders and kayakers ages 15 and older. Participants under 18 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian and have a signed waiver on file.
